Create a Community Advisory Committee

Urge the County Commissioners to create a Community Advisory Committee for allocating the $11.6 million in American Rescue funds

Garfield County will receive over $11.6 million dollars from the American Rescue Plan.

The county has significant leeway in terms of how these funds are spent.

A Community Advisory Committee - including representatives from a cross-section of our community, community members with a diversity of professional expertise, and representatives from local municipal governments - would help the commissioners invest these funds as strategically as possible.

Folks across our county deserve to have a voice in important decision-making processes. The most effective solutions are the ones that take our entire community into account.
